Who we are
We are a young, innovative machine learning startup company based in Munich, Germany. The name “TerraLoupe” originates from “Terra” (lat. ground, terrain) and “Loupe”, the technical expression for magnifying glass.
Managing Director, Sales / Co-Founder
Manuela’s background is in international sales and business development, including development of new technologies AR and new markets, growth of international cooperations and collaboration with government authorities as well as B2B & B2Gov sales. She first gained experience in her professional career as a project engineer and later as a project manager in the field of Training & Simulation. She was quickly promoted extending her responsibilities into international sales and business development. Furthermore, Manuela has had international work experience during her project visits to China, India and the USA with clients from the public and private sectors. Manuela gained a great foundation from her studies in electrical engineering followed by a Master Systems Engineering (Project Management & Leadership) program.
Development / Co-Founder
Sebastian is a researcher in computer vision and machine learning. At the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute, he was involved in several national and international research projects, dealing with image and video recognition. He was involved in international standardization bodies for video metadata standardization. His research interests include machine learning, computer vision and scalable infrastructures for image and video recognition systems. Sebastian holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of Karlsruhe.
Operations & Finance / Co-Founder
Christian worked at Siemens in various positions and countries, lastly at Siemens Novel Businesses as a venture manager where he was responsible for the whole process from idea creation to start-up foundation. Previously, he was a project leader for business development at Siemens’ solar thermal energy business and was based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Prior to that, Christian worked at Siemens Management Consulting, advising Siemens Top Management mainly in corporate and energy projects. Christian holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering and business administration from the Technical University of Karlsruhe, Germany, and a master’s degree in technology management from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.
